The best way to predict the future is to invent it

What is the difference between position: fixed and position: sticky?

position: fixed positions an element relative to the viewport, which means it remains fixed in its place even when the page content is scrolled. This property is typically used for elements like navigation bars or headers that need to stay visible regardless of scrolling. In contrast, position: sticky allows an element to behave like a relatively positioned element until the user scrolls past a specific point. Once the scroll reaches the defined threshold, the element becomes "stuck" and stays in view, but it only sticks within its parent container.
